His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al-Niyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, attended the International Youth Day celebrations organized by the Ministry of Interior at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The event was graced by Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al-Shamsi, the Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services at the ministry.
Various senior officials, police leadership, and representatives from youth organizations were also present. The festivities began with a welcoming speech acknowledging the significant role of youth in the United Arab Emirates and the government’s dedicated efforts to empower them, placing youth at the forefront of its priorities.
The Ministry of Interior’s efforts in supporting the nation’s youth and highlighting their achievements were also emphasized, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The ministry has consistently worked towards empowering young talents and enhancing their skills.
The opening festivities included impressive presentations detailing the journey of the Ministry of Interior’s Youth Council since its inception, showcasing its key accomplishments, initiatives, and pioneering projects, reflecting the vision of the Emirati youth towards leadership and excellence, and their role as agents of positive change for a progressive and ambitious future for the nation.
The ceremony included the graduation of the first group from the “Nawa of the Future” program, a strategic initiative launched by the Ministry of Interior aimed at training young national talents for careers in security and policing, through an intensive six-month training course.
Additionally, five outstanding youth-led projects from the Ministry of Interior were honored as part of the “Nibras Youth” initiative. Following the festivities, Minister Al-Niyadi conducted an on-site tour to review the existing and future plans, programs, and projects of the Ministry’s Youth Council.
Furthermore, Dr. Sultan Al-Niyadi inaugurated the first youth space at the federal government level within the ministry’s headquarters, endorsed by the Federal Youth Foundation. This space aims to enhance youth participation in decision-making and future foresight.
The event concluded with Minister Al-Niyadi’s participation in a discussion panel organized by the Ministry’s Youth Council in celebration of International Youth Day.
