Mobile Emirati Heart Clinics Tour Villages in Pakistan to Provide Comprehensive Healthcare

The United Arab Emirates has intensified its humanitarian efforts in Pakistan by launching a new phase of mobile community clinic services, initiated by “Doctors of the Emirates.” These clinics are currently active in remote villages, providing free specialized and preventive medical care, particularly focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases, especially among children, women, and the elderly.

The mobile clinics operate as part of a comprehensive field system, overseen by specialized medical teams that include cardiologists, pediatricians, family doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, and pharmacists, all equipped with necessary medical supplies. Medications and consultations are provided at no cost.

This initiative complements 25 years of volunteer medical efforts from the UAE in Pakistan, particularly through the Emirati-Pakistani field hospital, which has benefited over one million individuals, managed by collaborative teams of Emirati and Pakistani medical professionals.

The initiative is being executed in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Pakistan, in partnership with “Zayed Giving,” “Sharjah Charity House,” “Emirati Community Clinics,” and the “UAE Young Humanitarian Leaders Program.” This collaboration exemplifies an innovative model of partnerships among government, private, and non-profit sectors within community healthcare.

Dr. Adil Al-Shamri Al-Ajmi, an Emirati heart surgeon and CEO of the “Zayed Giving” initiative, emphasized that the expansion of the clinics coincides with the “Year of Community.” The aim is to attract and train medical professionals to enable them to fulfill their humanitarian roles in serving underprivileged communities.

The UAE-Pakistan medical program is based on four key areas: the Pakistan Readiness Program focuses on training frontline medical staff, operating mobile clinics, organizing scientific forums for community medicine expertise sharing, and preparing young medical leaders to ensure the sustainability of health programs.

Sultan Al-Khayal, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Charity House, stated that the mobile clinics offer a practical solution for residents of remote villages who face difficulties accessing hospitals. He mentioned that the 2025 plan includes covering over 20 villages in Pakistan as part of a sustainable operational strategy.

Dr. Mumtaz Al-Balushi, Medical Director of the Emirati-Pakistani mobile clinics, noted that the clinics prioritize early detection and free treatment, especially for chronic heart diseases. He emphasized that the cooperation between Emirati and Pakistani medical teams contributes to providing effective services to patients with limited incomes.

Al-Jouri Al-Ajmi, Director of the UAE Young Humanitarian Leaders Program, reported that efforts are ongoing to expand the geographical coverage of the clinics and the field hospital to reach as many villages as possible in collaboration with local partners and the UAE Embassy in Pakistan.

Residents of the Pakistani villages expressed their gratitude for the UAE’s efforts in providing free healthcare, praising the quality of services that have helped alleviate their suffering. They noted that this initiative embodies the approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, as the UAE’s wise leadership continues to promote a culture of humanitarian and volunteer work globally.
