Moro Showcases Intelligent Healthcare Support Solutions

Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed a high-level delegation from the Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Health at the Moro company, a subsidiary of the Digital DEWA Group, which represents DEWA’s digital arm.

The delegation from the Dubai Health Authority was led by Dr. Alawi Sheikh Ali, the Director General, while the delegation from Dubai Health was headed by Dr. Amer Sharif, the Executive Director. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen collaborative efforts in the fields of digital transformation, smart healthcare, and sustainable innovation.

Among those present at the meeting were Engineer Marwan Salem Bin Haider, Vice Chairman of the Board for the Digital Sector and CEO of the Digital DEWA Group, and Mohammed bin Suleiman, CEO of Moro.

Al Tayer stated that, in alignment with the directions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, they are committed to accelerating the digital transformation journey in Dubai, aiming to establish a sustainable digital infrastructure in both government and private sectors. This will support Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the emirate’s Carbon Neutrality Strategy 2050, which targets 100% of energy production capacity from clean sources by 2050.

He further mentioned that they are contributing to leadership in the adoption of advanced technologies, consistent with Dubai’s vision and its future objectives in smart healthcare, fostering the integration of artificial intelligence applications. This combination of digital innovation and sustainability aims to provide more efficient and secure services.

“We are pleased to collaborate with the Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Health to expedite the digital transformation in the healthcare sector of the emirate, developing advanced solutions that enhance the quality of medical services and support our shared goals in building a resilient and sustainable health system,” he added.

Dr. Alawi Sheikh Ali remarked, “This visit demonstrates the Dubai Health Authority’s commitment to leveraging the latest digital solutions to enhance our smart healthcare strategy.

“Having the opportunity to explore the facilities at Moro has provided us with valuable insights to explore partnerships that contribute to developing the digital infrastructure of the healthcare sector, employing innovative technologies that reduce carbon emissions and ensure higher efficiency in delivering services to patients.”

Dr. Amer Sharif emphasized, “We are dedicated to strengthening our strategic partnerships with leading entities in the fields of digital transformation and sustainability in the UAE, supporting our efforts to build an integrated healthcare system based on innovation and technology. Our visit to Moro’s facilities stems from our commitment to accelerate the digital transformation in our healthcare system, adopting advanced medical solutions that enhance the quality of care provided to patients.”

The visit included a comprehensive tour of Moro’s facilities, featuring the Green Data Center, Managed Services Center, Cybersecurity Operations Center, Smart Cities, and Internet of Things Center, followed by a presentation showcasing the diverse range of digital services offered by the company.
