His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended the closing ceremony for the graduation of the “Creators of the Future” class of 2025 at Zayed University yesterday.
The celebrations spanned three days, during which the university honored the achievements of 1,503 students from its campuses in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
On the final day, 66 graduate degree recipients from seven colleges were recognized, along with 224 outstanding students who achieved honors and distinctions in their bachelor’s and graduate programs.
The ceremony was also attended by Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Development and Chair of the Zayed University Board of Trustees, along with distinguished guests, board members, prominent figures, and the families of graduates.
Sheikh Nahyan congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments, wishing them continued success and a prosperous future. He encouraged them to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained in service of their nation, its leadership, and the community as a whole, contributing to a bright future for the country.
At the end of the event, Sheikh Nahyan was presented with a commemorative gift titled “Welcome,” which is a modern sculpture inspired by a poem from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The artwork combines traditional Arabic calligraphy with contemporary design to reflect values of generosity, pride, and authenticity.
The first day of the celebrations featured the attendance of Hajar Al Dhahli, Secretary-General of the Council for Education and Human Development, as a guest of honor, who congratulated the graduates for completing their educational journey at Zayed University, which has shaped their minds and equipped them with leadership skills to serve the nation.
