The Tourism Police Department within Dubai’s General Department of Investigations and Criminal Sciences organized the “Tourism Police Forum” aimed at discussing optimal practices, experiences, and initiatives in this crucial sector, aligning with the National Tourism Strategy 2031.
The forum, held at the Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel, was inaugurated by Major Mohammed Abdulrahman, the head of the Tourism Police Department, in the presence of officers and specialists from relevant law enforcement agencies across the nation.
Major Mohammed Abdulrahman stated that the forum aims to unite professionals from various police departments to exchange expertise, insights, and best practices related to tourism, in line with the national strategic objectives and the UAE’s vision for excellence in tourism policing.
He further emphasized the event’s role in sharing ideas and suggestions that can strengthen collaboration in the tourism sector, which is a vital area in the country, providing invaluable services to tourists and visitors while enhancing the emirate’s global reputation.
Additionally, he mentioned that the forum is part of the Dubai Police leadership’s commitment, under the guidance of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and the directives of Major General Harb Al Shamsi, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Sector, to proactively address future challenges in tourism and security, fostering excellence and leadership in the sector.
Lieutenant Shihab Ahmed Al Saadi, Deputy Director of the Tourism Police Department, confirmed that several key topics were discussed, including priorities for addressing complaints and reports, particularly those related to holiday homes.
