Navika Kotia From ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ Gets Engaged

Navika Kotia, widely recognized for her captivating role in the TV series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is currently in the spotlight following her recent engagement. The actress shared a heartwarming proposal video on Instagram, announcing her engagement to Mazen Mody, which she described as “the most special surprise ever.”

On January 9, 2026, Navika showcased a romantic engagement video featuring her boyfriend, Mazen Mody, a real estate developer. The proposal took place in a picturesque, snow-covered mountain setting. In the video, Navika appeared in a pink dress and was blindfolded while Mazen, dressed in a sleek black suit, orchestrated an elaborate surprise. The scene was adorned with red roses, champagne glasses, and a beautifully decorated cake that read, “Navika, I love you.” In a tender moment, Mazen proposed with a stunning heart-shaped display of rose petals, captured on camera for their loved ones.

In an interview with The Mirror conducted in November 2025, Navika disclosed her engagement plans, stating that the ceremony would occur in January 2026. She revealed they had recently celebrated their Gud Dhana ceremony, a baat pakki ritual customary among Jains, at Mazen’s residence in Pune. The couple opted for an intimate celebration, limited to family members. Navika mentioned that they had tentatively planned the engagement for late January 2026 but had yet to finalize wedding details.

Navika also shared insights about her relationship with Mazen, emphasizing that it had been arranged. The couple became friends through a mutual acquaintance and had known each other for about a year before their families proposed marriage. She recounted how Mazen’s mother approached her own mother during Diwali 2025 with the marriage proposal, a development she did not foresee happening so quickly. Expressing her gratitude for their connection, Navika described her relationship with Mazen as a blessing.

Reflecting on the journey leading to her engagement, Navika stated she now believes that matches are indeed made in heaven. Although initial doubts lingered, she ultimately embraced the arrangement once everything began to align. She conveyed her excitement for the new chapter in her life, acknowledging the whirlwind nature of their journey and anticipating a fulfilling future with her partner.

Congratulations are in order for Navika Kotia and Mazen Mody as they embark on this new adventure together.
