The Human Resources Department of the Ras Al Khaimah government organized its fifth employment open day yesterday in collaboration with the private sector. This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to enhance job opportunities for citizens seeking employment and to facilitate their integration into the labor market.
Sheikha Al Habsi, Deputy Director General of the Human Resources Department in Ras Al Khaimah, stated that the open day aimed to create a direct platform for job seekers to connect with employers and to encourage citizens to consider quality positions across various economic sectors. The event attracted a significant turnout of graduates and individuals seeking career opportunities, with participating organizations showcasing a range of job vacancies.
Al Habsi emphasized that holding direct employment open days, instead of job fairs, provides a swift and direct channel for hiring. It reflects the commitment of the Ras Al Khaimah government to empower national talent and supports the leadership’s vision of promoting Emiratization while strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors.
Mariam Al Tawil, head of the Emiratization Department at the Human Resources Department in Ras Al Khaimah, noted that the open day witnessed the participation of over 70 job seekers. She highlighted that the benefits provided by the “Nafis” platform are among the key incentives for citizens to enter the private job market, offering financial support, training, and career development opportunities.
She mentioned the department’s dedication to implementing training programs, particularly the “Prepare” initiative, which is a comprehensive strategic program aimed at equipping job seekers with the necessary skills and competencies to succeed in the evolving labor market. The programs focus on enhancing language, computing, computer skills, artificial intelligence, statistics, and other resume-related requirements for labor market entry.
Several job seekers in Ras Al Khaimah expressed during their participation in the employment exhibition that working in the private sector establishes a strong foundation for their career paths and helps them acquire practical skills essential for rapid career advancement.
Fatima Rashid Al Zaabi, a graduate of the Islamic Sharia program at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Ras Al Khaimah, shared her enthusiasm for attending the employment day to submit her CV in search of better job opportunities that would enrich her professional experience and enhance her qualifications in the job market.
Shaima Mohammed Al Abduali, a student at the Higher Colleges of Technology, emphasized her attendance at the employment day to find an early practical opportunity that complements her field of study, helping her enter the job market with confidence and proficiency. She believes that working in the private sector provides a robust starting point for her career due to the dynamic environments that enhance skill refinement.
Aamer Mohammed Ahmed, a high school graduate, pointed out that the advantages offered by the “Nafis” platform, along with government initiatives like those from the Abu Dhabi Retirement Pension Fund, serve as a significant incentive for joining the private sector and working with confidence and stability.
Abdullah Al Shihi, also a high school graduate, mentioned that he is currently employed in a private company but made it a point to attend the employment day in pursuit of a better job opportunity that aligns with his professional aspirations.
