Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Issues First Compliance Certificate for Ready-Mix Concrete Factories in the Emirate

The Ras Al Khaimah Municipality has recently released the inaugural version of the certification requirements for ready-mix concrete plants and onsite mixing units. This initiative is part of the municipality’s efforts to enhance the overall quality of building and construction within the emirate.

The municipality organized a series of awareness workshops and conducted field visits to the plants to ensure compliance with the newly issued requirements. Ready-mix concrete plants and onsite mixing units are subjected to comprehensive audits and evaluations by municipal assessors to verify their adherence to the technical specifications established by the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality concerning management and operational processes.

Notably, the municipality’s Building Licensing Department within the Urban Development Sector has issued the first compliance certificate for ready-mix concrete plants and onsite mixing units in the emirate. This certification aims to ensure that these facilities meet the highest international standards and local technical requirements.

Eligible plants that conform to these specifications will receive a compliance certificate and will be included in the approved registry of ready-mix concrete plants and onsite mixing units as issued by the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality’s Licensing Department.

It is worth mentioning that over 50% of the registered plants in the emirate have applied for the certificate during the current optional phase and are undergoing audits as they await completion of compliance with the relevant technical requirements.
