Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, the Minister of Education, has announced that the ministry began preparations for the 2025-2026 academic year back in January. This initiative is part of a comprehensive plan aimed at ensuring all schools nationwide are ready, thereby providing an advanced and innovative educational environment that supports students’ academic journeys and fulfills their future aspirations.
She emphasized that public education is the largest operator of schools across the country, necessitating extensive collaboration among various sectors within the ministry and with external partners. This approach ensures that educational services are accessible to every city and emirate while maintaining a high and global standard that will allow students to excel academically and intellectually, preparing them to contribute to their country’s development and elevate its global ranking.
Furthermore, she stated that integrated efforts are a fundamental component of the Ministry of Education’s framework, enhanced by collaboration among different internal sectors and external partners. The educational sector inherently requires this form of integration to ensure continuous development and to achieve the highest standards of quality.
She highlighted that public education reaches every city and emirate, which demands coordination and role integration to guarantee that each student can access a world-class level of education. This enables them to lead and be responsible for serving their nation while aspiring to achieve a top position globally.
Her Excellency noted that preparations are ongoing without interruption to ensure that school facilities remain ready, focusing on enriching the learning environment with the latest technologies and educational solutions to enhance students’ skills and broaden their intellectual horizons.
Meanwhile, Engineer Mohammed Al Qasim, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, confirmed that the ministry comprises eight sectors working in complete harmony to ensure a safe and inclusive school environment, while addressing all student needs.
He pointed out that schools are ready in terms of infrastructure and are completing plans to implement artificial intelligence curricula, alongside conducting training programs for teachers to enhance their skills and enable them to keep pace with modern developments.
Additionally, he mentioned that the ministry ensures the individual needs of each student are met, with monitoring teams overseeing schools that require maintenance or extra support, emphasizing the commitment to making students’ journeys from home to school and back as safe and smooth as possible.
He also stressed the importance of optimally investing in students’ capabilities within the classroom, ensuring adequate teacher numbers in accordance with actual needs, and removing any challenges they may face during their educational journey.
Al Qasim noted that the ministry’s teams continue their efforts to create a suitable and safe learning environment that fosters creativity and innovation, contributing to the development of students’ cognitive and intellectual abilities, which reflects the commitment to enhancing the quality of public education.
