Saud Bin Saqr: Investing in Basic Education is an Investment in the Nation’s Future

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, emphasized that investing in primary education is crucial for the nation’s future and its sustainable development. He highlighted that it forms the foundation for building students’ characters and developing their skills and knowledge based on solid ethical and national values, fostering loyalty and belonging in their hearts.

This statement was made during his annual meeting with first-grade students from Ras Al Khaimah Academy – Khuzam, along with faculty and administrative staff, at his residence in Jebel Jais. This initiative reflects His Highness’s commitment to following up on the students’ educational journey.

He praised the advanced educational programs provided in the UAE, especially at the primary level, which is a key component of the comprehensive educational framework. This commitment helps in nurturing a generation that is aware and capable of tackling future responsibilities and challenges. He reaffirmed that enhancing the quality of primary education contributes significantly to the nation’s progress and the sustainability of its development path.

His Highness also commended the integrated curricula at the Ras Al Khaimah Academy. During the gathering, he engaged in friendly conversations with the students, answering their spontaneous questions and sharing in their joy, while also learning about their interests and hobbies, resulting in a positive and cheerful atmosphere.

At the conclusion of the meeting, he observed the students planting ‘basil’ seedlings on Jebel Jais, an initiative designed to raise environmental awareness among them and instill values of sustainability and community responsibility through practical activities that strengthen their connection to the natural environment.
