Saud Bin Saqr: The Family as the Fundamental Foundation and Core of Society’s Value System

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, emphasized that the family is the foundation of society, serving as the primary pillar for a value system and a vital component for national identity and state strength, as well as for social cohesion.

The Ruler pointed out that since its establishment, the UAE has placed significant emphasis on family, focusing on empowering and supporting it while providing the essential elements for its stability. This commitment helps create an environment conducive to raising generations that are knowledgeable, proud of their values, and actively involved in the nation’s development and construction efforts.

This statement came during a reception by Sheikh Saud at his palace in the city of Saqr bin Mohammed, attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, yesterday, where he welcomed Her Excellency Sana’a bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family Affairs, along with several officials.

During the meeting, His Highness learned about the ministry’s future strategies and initiatives aimed at reinforcing the status of Emirati families and making them a central focus in development projects. These efforts are designed to enhance family cohesion and stability, contributing to the comprehensive care of all family members.

His Highness reiterated that supporting and empowering families is a national priority due to their crucial role in preparing generations ready to contribute to the ongoing growth and prosperity of the nation.

He highlighted Ras Al Khaimah’s dedication to implementing initiatives and programs that strengthen family bonds and promote community stability. His Highness praised the ministry’s efforts to uplift Emirati families and stressed the importance of continuing to develop innovative initiatives that enhance social cohesion and reinforce values of stability and national unity.

For her part, Her Excellency Sana’a bint Mohammed Suhail expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi towards the stability of UAE families, noting that this support is a cornerstone for advancing social work and achieving its strategic objectives.

Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, alongside Sheikh Khalid bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of the Investment and Development Office in Ras Al Khaimah, attended the merger ceremony of Gulf Cement Company with the globally renowned Italian cement manufacturer, Buzzi, which took place at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah. The event was attended by several accredited ambassadors and senior officials. His Highness affirmed that this development showcases the strength of the private sector in the emirate and the international confidence in its business environment.
