During a meeting held today, Tuesday, in Mecca, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, the efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that the two ministers addressed the latest developments in the area and the initiatives being taken to promote peace and security.
This meeting occurs amidst rapidly evolving diplomatic activities concerning the Iranian nuclear issue, just one day after U.S. President Donald Trump expressed a desire to resume negotiations with Iran.
Last month, the United States conducted airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, which Trump claimed had completely dismantled Iran’s nuclear program and ruled out any uranium enrichment by Iran, a stance that Tehran has firmly opposed.
