Saudi Arabia has expressed strong condemnation of remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding what is referred to as the “Greater Israel vision.”
In a statement released on Wednesday evening, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced Netanyahu’s statements in the strongest terms, affirming the Kingdom’s total rejection of the settlement and expansionist ideas advocated by the Israeli occupying authorities.
The statement highlighted the historical and legal right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent and sovereign state on their land, in accordance with relevant international laws.
Furthermore, the Ministry issued a warning to the international community about the continued blatant violations by Israeli occupation, which undermine the foundations of international legitimacy, infringe upon the sovereignty of nations, and pose threats to regional and global security.
On Tuesday, during an interview with Israeli channel i24, Netanyahu mentioned that he feels “emotionally connected” to the vision of Greater Israel.
