Savannah Guthrie’s Fiancé Michael Feldman: A Relationship Timeline

Savannah Guthrie, the renowned host of the show Today, has recently been in the spotlight due to her mother’s disappearance on January 31, 2026. As the situation unfolds, there is renewed interest in Guthrie’s personal life, particularly her relationship with her second husband, Michael Feldman.

Michael Feldman, Savannah Guthrie’s second husband, has a notable background in politics. Previously, he was a Democratic political aide during the Clinton administration, working closely with Vice President Al Gore for eight years. His roles included serving as a chief liaison to Congress, as well as working with the Senate Democratic Leadership’s Democratic Policy Committee. This extensive political experience laid the groundwork for his career in consulting.

After his time in politics, Feldman transitioned to the business world, establishing his own consulting practice. He is a founding partner and serves as the North American co-chairman of FGS Global, an international communications and consulting firm. His expertise also extends to the entertainment industry, where he has contributed to various corporate and nonprofit communication strategies.

The couple’s journey began in October 2008 when they met at Feldman’s 40th birthday party, attended by a mutual friend. At the time, Savannah was separating from her first husband, Mark Orchard, and they divorced officially in 2009. Their romance blossomed quickly, with Savannah recalling how Feldman’s humor drew her to him.

Interestingly, the couple experienced a temporary setback on the day they became engaged. While vacationing in Turks and Caicos in 2019, Savannah and Feldman had a candid conversation about their relationship’s future. Savannah prompted Feldman to make a decision: whether to marry or part ways. Despite the tension, Feldman had secretly prepared a proposal for Savannah. As the sun set, he asked her to marry him, to which she enthusiastically agreed.

Their engagement was announced during a Today episode, where Savannah humorously noted that their families had long been in-laws, waiting for them to officially tie the knot. They married in March 2014 in a small ceremony surrounded by 80 to 90 guests. Shortly after, the couple shared the news of their first pregnancy. Together, they have a daughter and a son, furthering their family’s joy.

Michael Feldman’s unwavering support has clearly been a source of strength for Savannah Guthrie throughout her career and personal life. Their partnership exemplifies resilience and love in the face of challenges. As the public continues to support Guthrie during this difficult time, her relationship with Feldman remains a significant aspect of her story.
