Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council Welcomes the Peace Agreement Between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, welcomed the signing of a peace agreement between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, commending the efforts of the United States and Qatar in this regard.

Al-Budaiwi expressed hope that this agreement would help alleviate tensions and fulfill the aspirations of both nations for security and stability. He emphasized the importance of fostering prosperity and development in the region, as well as enhancing opportunities for regional and international peace and security.

Furthermore, he highlighted the increasingly positive role of GCC countries in promoting peaceful resolutions and strengthening security and stability worldwide. Al-Budaiwi reaffirmed the commitment of GCC states to a diplomatic approach and dialogue, viewing them as essential tools for addressing international and regional crises and achieving sustainable development.
