Sharjah Quran Authority Explores Collaboration with Poland’s Islamic Religious Union

During a meeting held at the Sharjah Quran Academy, discussions took place regarding enhancing collaboration in promoting the Holy Quran and its sciences as well as raising awareness about its intellectual heritage. This meeting involved Tomasz Miskiewicz, the Chief Mufti of Poland and President of the Supreme Council of the Muslim Religious Union in Poland, along with Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al-Hosani, Secretary-General of the Academy.

During his visit, Miskiewicz learned about the Academy’s role and strategy in serving the Quran and its sciences, as well as its educational initiatives. He was introduced to the Quranic museums that highlight the Quranic legacy and recount the history of the Quran’s compilation and sciences. Additionally, he explored the Global Sharjah Online Quran Recitation Initiative, which is designed to be an educational beacon that keeps pace with modern developments and techniques in education, reaching 172 countries worldwide.

Miskiewicz commended the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for his support of this global Quranic institution, which promotes the teachings of the Quran and introduces Islamic culture. He noted that the Sheikh’s significant contributions are evident in his dedication to preserving the immense historical, scientific, and intellectual legacy of the Quran while sharing it with the world.

He expressed a strong desire for comprehensive and integrated collaboration between the Supreme Council of the Muslim Religious Union in Poland and the Quran Academy to promote Islam and the Quran with its diverse sciences.

As a gesture of goodwill, the Polish Mufti presented the Academy with a translated copy of the meanings of the Quran in Polish.
