The Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Office, along with the Remote Work Applications, has established a strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority. This collaboration aims to enhance the implementation of AI technologies and solutions to bolster food security and to develop innovative digital solutions that foster technical creativity and skills in the field of artificial intelligence.
The agreement was signed by Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, Omar Sultan Al Olama, and Dr. Tariq Al Amiri, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority.
Minister Omar Sultan Al Olama emphasized that this partnership forms part of the UAE’s broader efforts to position itself as a leading global hub for the development and application of AI technologies. It highlights the integration of roles among government entities and serves as a foundation for accelerating innovation and creating smart, sustainable solutions to meet future challenges.
He added that the UAE, through its innovative initiatives and advanced investments, continues to lead the global digital transformation movement, placing human needs at the center of its technological framework.
The Minister stressed the importance of supporting projects that leverage AI for community service and enhancing the efficiency of various sectors, thereby reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global model for the ethical and responsible use of modern technologies.
In response, Dr. Tariq Al Amiri stated that this partnership reflects the authority’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies to support national policies and to achieve integration between technology and the food sector. He pointed out that the collaboration will enhance the authority’s efforts to adopt and implement AI technologies to promote sustainable agricultural practices and improve food safety standards.
