His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, attended the graduation ceremony for postgraduate students for the Spring 2025 semester, with a total of 437 graduates.
In his address, His Highness mentioned that every year, prior to the ceremony, he reviews reports showcasing the achievements of the University of Sharjah. He poses the question, “Will we be able to achieve new milestones next year after this significant number of accomplishments?” He expressed his delight in observing that the journey of the University of Sharjah continues to thrive and expand.
The President of the University highlighted this year’s remarkable achievements, stating that excellence is not a destination but an ongoing journey for the institution. He noted that there were 23 significant accomplishments along with numerous other achievements, including the University being awarded a platinum classification in the STARS sustainability assessment system by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, achieving a perfect score of 100%. This made it the first university in the Middle East to receive such prestigious accreditation in sustainable education and research. Furthermore, it was ranked highest among UAE universities in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and arts in the latest Times Higher Education rankings for 2025.
Addressing the graduates, His Highness commended their knowledge and skills, referring to them as graduates of the University of Sharjah, which has always aimed to be a beacon of learning and knowledge, guided by the wise vision and directives of its founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
