Bollywood actress Zareen Khan is mourning the recent loss of her mother, Parveen Khan. The passing of her mother has left a significant emotional void in her life. Just ten days after her mother’s demise, Zareen shared a heartfelt tribute on social media that reflected her love and gratitude, as well as a profound sense of emptiness.
On a recent Friday, Zareen turned to Instagram to post a touching video tribute, featuring a montage of cherished memories captured with her mother. The footage highlighted moments they spent together, including travels and other unforgettable experiences. In her accompanying note, she expressed, “إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ (Indeed, we belong to God, and indeed, to Him we shall return). My mother, my first love, my best friend, my baby, my world, my everything… It’s been 10 days since you are gone.”
Zareen further revealed her feelings of loss, stating, “There’s a constant ache and emptiness in my heart which is irreplaceable. Be the chhota baby you always were and enjoy your parents’ love in Jannat… until we meet again.” Her mother passed away on April 8, 2026, though Zareen did not disclose the cause of her mother’s death.
In this time of grief, Zareen has received an outpouring of condolences from her peers in the industry, including notable figures like Tabu and Sangeeta Bijlani. Fans also expressed their support, with messages such as, “So sorry for your loss dear, nothing can replace a mother in this world. May her kind soul rest in peace. Stay strong,” and, “This is really heartbreaking… I hope you stay strong.” Another comment offered prayers, saying, “May her soul rest in Jannat. Ameen.”
Zareen Khan is well-known for her work in Bollywood, having made her debut opposite Salman Khan in the 2010 film “Veer.” Although the film did not perform well at the box office, she gained attention and faced comparisons to popular actress Katrina Kaif. Over her career, she appeared in notable projects such as “Housefull 2,” “Jatt James Bond,” “Hate Story 3,” “1921,” and “Aksar 2.”
Recently, however, Zareen has stepped back from the big screen. Her last film appearance was in “Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele,” which was released on JioHotstar in 2021. The film featured Anshuman Jha in the lead role, alongside Ravi Khanvilkar, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Nitin Sharma in supporting roles.
