His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, has announced that Abu Dhabi aims to become the first government to fully adopt artificial intelligence by 2027.
He highlighted the emirate’s plans in this area as part of the UAE’s commitment to being a global leader in cybersecurity and education. This statement came during his meeting yesterday with Ruth Porat, the President and Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google.
In a post on X, he stated: “I discussed with Ruth Porat, the President and Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google, the prospects of artificial intelligence and its advanced applications, which align with our shared vision for a technology-driven future and digital transformation, while also addressing the needs of computational infrastructure.”
He further noted: “We also reviewed promising collaboration opportunities that can enhance investment and innovation to achieve sustainable development and an improved quality of life, along with Abu Dhabi’s plans to become the first government to fully implement artificial intelligence by 2027, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to being a global leader in the fields of cybersecurity and education.”
