Taylor Swift Transforms Rhode Island Mansion into Floral Wonderland for Wedding

The upcoming war film Ikkis features a poignant poem performed by the late actor Dharmendra, marking his final appearance on the big screen. The film, set to release in December, has captivated fans with its emotional tribute to one’s roots and origins.

The production house Maddock Films shared the heartfelt poem along with a video clip from the movie on social media. The caption expresses gratitude for Dharmendra’s legacy, describing him as a true son of the soil and emphasizing the poem’s timeless quality.

In the video, Dharmendra’s character revisits his village in Punjab, reconnecting with his hometown and cherishing memories with old friends. Titled “Aj bhi ji karda hai, pind apne nu jaanwa,” which translates to “I still yearn to return to my village,” the poem reflects a deep longing for home. Dharmendra reminisces about simpler times spent playing kabaddi, bathing in local ponds, and the unmatched charm of village life, concluding with a touching mention of missing his mother.

Fan reactions to the video have been overwhelmingly emotional, with many expressing how deeply it resonated with them. Comments highlight Dharmendra’s legendary status and the profound impact of his words.

Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89, following health struggles that included a brief hospitalization earlier in the month. His death marks the end of an era for Indian cinema.

Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, chronicles the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. With Agastya Nanda leading the cast alongside Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher, and Rahul Dev, the film will debut in theaters on December 25, promising to be a significant entry in Dharmendra’s illustrious six-decade career.
