The Head of State and the President of Paraguay Discuss Strengthening Cooperative Ties Between the Two Nations

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and Santiago Peña, the President of Paraguay, held discussions today on various aspects of cooperation and mutual efforts. Their talks focused on developmental, economic, trade, renewable energy, food security, and climate action initiatives, all crucial for supporting the aspirations of both nations towards sustainable growth and prosperity.

This meeting took place during President Peña’s official visit to the UAE, which was hosted at the Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi.

Both leaders reviewed several topics of mutual interest and exchanged perspectives, emphasizing their commitment to advancing bilateral relations and harnessing diverse opportunities to foster cooperation that serves their shared goals.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to broadening its economic and developmental partnerships while enhancing collaborative ties with Latin American nations, particularly Paraguay. This approach stems from a foundation of shared interests and cooperation aimed at achieving growth and prosperity for people worldwide.

Additionally, the discussions touched upon regional and global developments, particularly recent events in the Middle East. Both leaders stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to promote peace and stability in the region and across the globe.

President Santiago Peña expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed for the warm welcome extended during his visit. He acknowledged the comprehensive development observed in the UAE and lauded the wise leadership driving its progress.

In attendance at the meeting were Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Court for Development and Martyrs’ Affairs, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, along with various dignitaries including Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, UAE National Security Council Secretary-General, and Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, among others, along with the accompanying delegation of President Peña.
