The Sudanese Ambassador to the UAE: A Unique Model of Brotherhood and Genuine Cooperation

His Excellency Abdul Rahman Sharfi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the United Arab Emirates, stated that the relationship between the UAE and Sudan is deeply rooted, with historical ties that are strengthened by bonds of kinship, camaraderie, and a shared destiny that have united the two peoples over the ages. This relationship has remained a unique model of brotherhood and sincere cooperation.

He added that the historical ties between the two nations exemplify a model of mutual trust, respect, and appreciation. These relations are founded on noble human values established by the late founding leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and have been continued by the wise leadership of the UAE and the committed leaders of Sudan.

Ambassador Abdul Rahman Sharfi noted that throughout the various challenges faced by Sudan, the UAE has consistently been at the forefront of nations offering support and assistance to the Sudanese people during times of hardship. The UAE has actively participated in humanitarian and developmental relief efforts without discrimination or hesitation, also providing refuge to Sudanese citizens seeking safety from the ravages of war. It has embraced them with generosity and kindness, offering support in housing, education, healthcare, and employment, truly becoming a second home for them.

He emphasized that the relations between the two countries and their peoples are profound and enduring, reflecting a living reality affirmed by actions, historical ties, and shared values. He further stated that “maintaining the strength of these relations and developing them towards broader avenues of strategic cooperation is a shared responsibility and an urgent necessity to enhance mutual interests and support the development and stability of both nations, ultimately benefiting their brotherly peoples.”

In conclusion, he remarked: “The relationship between the UAE and Sudan will continue to be a bright example of genuine brotherhood and a testament to unwavering mutual loyalty, resilient against storms and challenges, having grown from the soil of nobility, watered by love, and resulting in an authentic bond that deepens over time.”
