Former President Donald Trump indicated that he might not run for office again when asked about it, but later expressed his interest in seeking the presidency once more.
According to the 22nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, American presidents are limited to two terms, which may be consecutive or non-consecutive, each lasting four years.
Trump also defended his efforts to implement a Republican-backed plan to redraw congressional district lines in Texas ahead of the midterm elections in 2026.
In an interview with CNBC, he stated, “We have a really good governor and great people in Texas, and I won in Texas.” He further mentioned, “I achieved the highest percentage of votes in Texas history, as you probably know, and we deserve to gain five additional seats.”
