The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued an orange alert due to turbulent sea conditions and strong northwesterly winds, which may reach speeds of up to 40 km/h. This alert is effective from 2 PM on Thursday until 2 PM on Friday, April 18.
According to the weather service, the sea is expected to be rough, with wave heights potentially reaching 6 feet offshore in the Oman Sea until 8:30 PM on Friday.
On Friday, the overall weather is anticipated to be fair, based on the predictions from the meteorological department.
The NCM also noted that while clear skies are expected across the country, there may be periods of partial cloudiness and dust at times.
During the night and into Saturday morning, April 19, humidity levels are expected to increase, particularly in some northern inland regions.
Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds will lead to blowing dust and sand in certain areas, especially in the northern and eastern parts, with wind speeds ranging from 15 km/h to 30 km/h, possibly reaching 45 km/h.
Sea conditions will remain rough in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Inland temperatures could climb as high as 39ºC, with potential lows dropping to 18ºC. In Abu Dhabi, expect temperatures to peak at 30ºC and drop to a minimum of 24ºC. Dubai is forecasted to experience highs of 31ºC and lows around 23ºC.
