German Foreign Minister Johann Fadewol strongly condemned Israel’s attack on Hamas leadership in Qatar.
Fadewol stated in Berlin on Tuesday evening that “Israel’s assault on Doha not only undermines Qatar’s territorial sovereignty but also jeopardizes our collective efforts to secure the release of hostages. This strike is unacceptable.”
He expressed deep concern for the life and security of the hostages held by Hamas, including German citizens.
Fadewol emphasized that he communicated this to his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Saar, during a phone conversation. He remarked, “Qatar plays a crucial role in efforts to achieve a ceasefire and the release of hostages.” He also extended his solidarity and gratitude to his Qatari counterpart for these efforts.
Fadewol urgently called for all necessary measures to finally establish a ceasefire and ensure that hostages return to their families.
