The President of the United States, Donald Trump, continues his Gulf tour with a “historic” visit accompanied by a large delegation that includes key officials from his administration, business leaders, and family members.
Trump’s entourage consists of high-ranking officials from his new administration, featuring prominent figures from his cabinet, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of Treasury Scott Pruitt, along with Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick. Additionally, Vice President J.D. Vance and White House Chief of Staff Suzy Wiles are part of the delegation, along with senior advisors in economic and security matters.
Notably, the delegation includes several leading American business and technology figures, such as Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, who was seen alongside Trump during the official reception at the Al Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.
It’s important to highlight that Musk’s presence is not in an official governmental capacity; rather, he is attending as a prominent businessman invited to partake in economic events related to the visit.
A White House official confirmed to CNN that Musk traveled independently to attend the Saudi-American Investment Forum coinciding with Trump’s visit.
The list of economic figures also includes Andy Jassy (CEO of Amazon), Larry Fink (CEO of BlackRock), Stephen Schwarzman (CEO of Blackstone), and Sam Altman (CEO of OpenAI).
These executives participated in the Saudi-American Investment Forum held concurrently with Trump’s visit in Riyadh, where the announcement of substantial Saudi investments amounting to approximately $600 billion was made, aimed at projects in the United States across defense, energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors.
Trump is also accompanied by family members, including his son Eric Trump, who serves as the executive vice president of the Trump Organization. Eric Trump visited the region prior to the official tour to participate in launching real estate projects bearing the Trump brand.
Moreover, reports indicate that Donald Trump Jr. is also engaged in economic activities during the tour, being the President’s eldest son and a significant figure in both family business and political endeavors.
