Severe wildfires continue to spread across vast areas of Canada, with approximately half of the 120 active fires reported nationwide now out of control, according to the latest update released today.
Authorities have issued evacuation orders for residents in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, following similar directives for residents in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Isolated fires are also reported in the eastern province of Ontario. Evacuations have affected thousands of individuals, as detailed by the Canadian publication “Globe and Mail,” and factors such as extreme drought and favorable winds have contributed to the ignition and spread of these wildfires.
