Witnesses Share Chilling Accounts of Aftermath Following Delhi Red Fort Explosion

On the evening of November 10, 2025, a devastating explosion occurred in Delhi, causing significant panic and loss of life. The blast, which originated from a car near the busy Chandni Chowk area and the Lal Qila Metro Station, resulted in the death of eight individuals and left twelve others injured. Witnesses described the horrifying scene, which left many in disbelief about the scale of the tragedy.

Eyewitness accounts reveal the chaos and terror that ensued following the explosion. A local shopkeeper recounted the intense moment, stating, “I never heard such a loud explosion ever in my life. I fell three times due to the explosion. It felt as if we were all going to die.” Another nearby resident shared the gruesome aftermath, noting the sight of body parts scattered on the road, a scene that left him in shock.

The impact of the blast was catastrophic, with many vehicles catching fire and structural damage reported in the vicinity. Emergency services responded rapidly, with seven fire tenders dispatched to control the ensuing fire. A team from the Delhi Police Special Cell also arrived to begin investigations into the incident.

A local auto driver, who was positioned directly in front of the car that exploded, expressed uncertainty about the cause, stating he could not confirm whether it was due to a bomb or other factors. The authorities received news of the blast at approximately 7:29 PM, and as the situation unfolded, Deputy Chief Fire Officer AK Malik confirmed they worked swiftly to manage the fire.

This tragic event, which coincided with the return of commuters from work and school, has raised concerns about public safety in the area. Eyewitnesses described a sense of disbelief as they witnessed the violent explosion and its aftermath. One individual recalled seeing flames rising from his home, prompting him to rush outside to see what had happened.

As the city grapples with the implications of such a traumatic event, the thoughts and prayers of many are with the victims and their families, who now face the aftermath of this horrific blast. The incident has left an indelible mark on the community, stirring a mix of fear and grief among those who were present.
