The Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination has announced the launch of the “Early Detection – Together We Start” project in Abu Dhabi to support the country’s efforts in enhancing the quality of life and wellbeing for children.
This initiative aims to provide comprehensive services for monitoring developmental indicators in children from birth to 8 years old, guiding families towards early intervention to assist in addressing any developmental delays their children may experience.
The project aligns with the integration of the Abu Dhabi Department of Health’s objectives, which focus on improving healthcare services for children in the emirate. It includes an initial medical assessment by a pediatrician before proceeding to comprehensive evaluations at specialized centers, where early intervention services are provided to support children’s health and educational development.
Abdullah Abd Al-Aali Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, stated: “The Early Detection project aims to enhance coordination between healthcare and educational institutions in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. The goal is to provide comprehensive support to families by directing them to consult a pediatrician first to ensure health status before moving on to specialized assessments at our organization.”
He further added: “The significance of this project lies not only in early assessment but also in providing psychological support and family guidance, which empowers families to take appropriate steps in addressing their children’s needs.”
In related remarks, Naseeba Al Hammadi, Head of the Assessment and Diagnosis Center at the Zayed Higher Organization, emphasized that early detection is the crucial first step toward suitable intervention before developmental delays become significant obstacles.
