Dhurandhar 2″ has been making waves at the box office since its release on March 19, surpassing ₹1000 crore globally. The film has garnered praise from numerous celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, Allu Arjun, and Rajinikanth, who have expressed their admiration on social media. Aamir Khan, although yet to see the film, mentioned he has only heard positive feedback regarding the Ranveer Singh-starrer.
At the International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026, Aamir Khan shared his thoughts on “Dhurandhar 2.” He remarked, “I have not seen the film yet. But I hear only praises of the film. Dhurandhar 1 and now Dhurandhar 2. Both films have done exceptionally well, and my very best wishes to the team.” His acknowledgment highlights the film’s significant impact in its short run.
Aamir also discussed his own work, as his film “Sitaare Zameen Par” was featured at the festival. He expressed his happiness about the screening, noting, “It’s a real pleasure that our film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is being screened at the Delhi Film Festival.” He emphasized the importance of engaging with the audience, particularly the younger demographic.
“Dhurandhar 2,” a sequel to the 2025 hit “Dhurandhar,” continues the journey of characters introduced in the first film. It explores the backstory of Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates a Baloch gang in Pakistan to dismantle a terror organization. The sequel delves into the character development of Jaskirat, revealing the circumstances that shape him into Hamza. The ensemble cast includes Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and others, reprising their roles.
The original “Dhurandhar” achieved remarkable commercial success, grossing ₹1300 crore worldwide, and remains in theaters three months post-release. Given the strong reception of the sequel, expectations are high for it to exceed the original’s performance.
