Amitabh Bachchan Advocates for Active Living for a Healthier Mind and Body

Amitabh Bachchan, a legendary figure in Indian cinema, continues to captivate audiences with his extensive body of work, which spans more than fifty years. Known for his versatility, the actor engages regularly with fans at his Mumbai residence, Jalsa. In a recent blog post on Tumblr, he emphasized the importance of maintaining motivation and activity in life.

In his reflections, Amitabh quoted his father, renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, highlighting the swift passage of time. He remarked that mobility is essential for both body and mind. According to him, staying active not only invigorates one’s life but also reinforces the significance of being purposefully engaged rather than being passive.

He further elaborated on the concept of patience, describing it as a recurring challenge that requires constant attention. Amitabh noted that patience yields philosophical rewards rather than mere monetary gain. This contemplation led him to discuss the idea of studying various subjects, likening it to drawing arrows from a quiver during life’s challenges. He drew an analogy between traditional weaponry and modern warfare, reflecting on how conflict has evolved from hand-to-hand combat to distant engagement.

On the cinematic front, Amitabh recently starred in the science fiction film “Kalki 2898 AD,” directed by Nag Ashwin. The film, which featured a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, achieved significant commercial success, grossing over ₹1,000 crore globally. Currently, he is busy filming the sequel, maintaining his active presence in the entertainment industry.
