Amitabh Bachchan Shares Heartfelt Memories of His Beloved Mother Teji

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan recently took to his blog to share heartfelt memories of his late mother, Teji Bachchan. In his touching post, he reflected on her wisdom and comforting presence, emphasizing how her simple guidance helped him manage life’s daily challenges.

Bachchan began by noting that minor adjustments in daily routines could lead to significant relief from stress. He suggested that people often overexert themselves worrying about small issues that can be resolved quite easily with a fresh perspective. He expressed, “Sometimes just a minor change in what has been bothering you makes life so much easier.” Such realizations highlight the importance of applying regular changes to improve one’s quality of life.

He emotionally reminisced about his mother and the solace she provided during tough times. In his words, he described the comfort of her presence: “That warm caress from Ma… a reassurance in her words… that round ball of her dupatta, warmed with her breath, applied to your eyes… and the immediate relief…” This vivid imagery captures the essence of maternal love and support that has stayed with him throughout his life.

Bachchan concluded his reflections on a poignant note, revealing how memories of his mother continue to shape his life even after her passing. He stated, “She is not with us now, but just thinking of those moments brings that care, confidence and assurance again.” These words resonate with anyone who has experienced the enduring impact of a loved one’s guidance and warmth.

This isn’t the first time Amitabh Bachchan has shared insights into his mother’s influence. In a previous blog post from 2018, he spoke of her sacrifices and the role she played in his artistic upbringing. He recalled how Teji Bachchan nurtured his interests in music, theatre, and dance from an early age, showcasing her commitment to fostering creativity and expression.

Reflecting further on his childhood, Bachchan mentioned how she celebrated his achievements, big or small, transforming those moments into cherished memories. Teji Bachchan, who was born on August 12, 1914, was not only a psychology teacher and social activist but also a profound source of inspiration. Her passing on December 21, 2007, left behind a legacy enriched with love, strength, and an enduring influence on her son’s life and career.
