Anupam Kher Praises Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’: A Moment of Pride

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has expressed his admiration for Aditya Dhar’s recent film, “Dhurandhar,” calling it a significant cinematic achievement. He shared a heartfelt video on social media celebrating the film’s success, emphasizing its importance in the industry.

“Dhurandhar,” released on December 5, features a star-studded cast including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R. Madhavan, and Rakesh Bedi. The film has been well-received at the box office, surpassing ₹1000 crore in worldwide collections.

The production, led by Aditya Dhar and his brother Lokesh Dhar under B62 Studios in collaboration with Jio Studios, presents a gripping underworld narrative. The storyline intricately weaves together the lives of criminals, informants, and operatives, showcasing elements of espionage and betrayal.

In his video message, Kher conveyed his joy regarding the film’s accomplishments, despite not being involved in the project. He highlighted the film’s impact on him and expressed pride in its achievements. Kher mentioned feeling a sense of peace and fulfillment with the film’s success, remarking, “I don’t have a role in this film. I am not connected to anything. But I don’t know why, with the success of this film, my heart is very peaceful.”

He acknowledged numerous congratulatory messages from international audiences and added that the film has shifted perceptions in ways he found commendable. The enthusiastic response to “Dhurandhar” has led the filmmakers to announce a sequel set for release on March 19.
