Behind the Scenes: 500 NDAs Secured for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Film

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film “Love & War” is generating considerable buzz as its production continues. Featuring a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, the film is expected to capture the attention of audiences when it premieres later this year. In an effort to maintain secrecy and avoid leaks, the production team is implementing stringent measures leading up to the release.

According to an insider, the creators of “Love & War” are making every effort to safeguard the film’s narrative and visuals. To this end, a significant portion of the crew has been required to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), with reports indicating that over 500 such agreements are either completed or in progress. This proactive approach aims to prevent any material from the set from being disclosed prematurely.

Alia Bhatt recently provided some insight into the filming process during a video interview with Vogue Italia. While promoting her participation in Milan Fashion Week as a Gucci ambassador, she mentioned, “I am working on a movie currently called Love & War. It is a film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. We are at the tail end of filming. It has been quite a magical experience.” This project marks her second collaboration with Bhansali after her acclaimed role in “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” for which she received a National Award for Best Actress.

Speculation about the film’s setting heightened last year when leaked images of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt surfaced online, suggesting a backdrop of the 1960s. However, specific plot details remain tightly under wraps, keeping fans eager for more information.

Initially slated for a Christmas 2025 release, the film faced a delay and was subsequently pushed to March 20, 2026. Nevertheless, there are indications that it may now be targeting a 2027 release. Despite these uncertainties, it has been confirmed that filming is progressing well, and most major sequences have been completed. As of now, a definitive release date for “Love & War” has yet to be established, leaving the audience in anticipation of what Bhansali has in store.
