The war drama “Border 2” has made a remarkable impact at the box office, garnering significant attention both in India and internationally. In just three days since its release, the film has successfully surpassed the ₹150 crore milestone globally, achieving this feat within its opening weekend.
The film debuted strongly, earning ₹30 crore net on its first day, despite multiple cancellations of morning screenings. Saturday saw a steady increase in earnings, culminating in an impressive ₹54.50 crore net on Sunday. Overall, “Border 2” has accumulated ₹121 crore net (₹142.5 crore gross) in India during its opening weekend.
Internationally, “Border 2” has resonated well with audiences, reaching around $2.6 million in various territories by Sunday. This brings the film’s total global earnings to an impressive ₹167 crore after just three days. Projections indicate that the film could potentially cross the ₹200 crore mark, especially with the anticipated boost from the upcoming Republic Day holiday.
Notably, “Border 2” has become the first Hindi film of the year to exceed the ₹100 crore threshold. It currently stands as the third-highest-grossing Indian film of the year, trailing only two Telugu releases from Sankranthi. This early momentum suggests that it could soon claim the top position in the box office rankings, particularly after surpassing the lifetime collections of Sunny Deol’s earlier film, “Jaat,” which grossed ₹119 crore worldwide last year.
Directed by Anurag Singh, “Border 2” features a strong ensemble cast, including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, among others. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, marking it as one of Bollywood’s significant releases in 2026.
