Chitrangada Singh Praises Salman Khan’s Authenticity in ‘Battle of Galwan’

Chitrangada Singh, who will share the screen with Salman Khan in the upcoming film “Battle of Galwan,” has commented on Khan’s authenticity in an industry where many often don masks. She emphasizes that Khan is unapologetically himself, a rarity among his peers.

“Battle of Galwan,” directed by Apoorva Lakhia, draws inspiration from the 2020 conflict between India and China in the Galwan Valley. This war drama has generated significant anticipation among audiences.

Singh expressed admiration for Khan’s genuine character, stating that he is attuned to what his fans appreciate. She highlighted that Khan does not pretend to be anyone else and feels this authenticity is what resonates with his fans. According to her, such a level of sincerity is uncommon in the film industry, making Khan stand out.

In her interview with PTI, Singh remarked on the challenges of maintaining authenticity in showbiz. She noted, “Sometimes you do things for effect,” but Khan’s reluctance to conform to such pressures is what she respects. This genuineness, she believes, is a key reason for his enduring popularity.

While Singh refrained from sharing specifics about her role in “Battle of Galwan,” she praised Khan’s improvisation skills. She elaborated on his spontaneous approach to acting, describing it as refreshing and enjoyable. Singh noted that Khan’s ability to evolve a scene keeps the atmosphere lively, fostering creativity among the cast.

In discussing past collaborations, Singh revealed that she was initially set to work with Khan on a project he intended to produce alongside the veteran actor Govinda. However, the film, a remake of a Marathi movie directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, never materialized.

Currently, Singh is receiving accolades for her performance in “Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders,” directed by Honey Singh, which also features an impressive ensemble cast, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte.

“Battle of Galwan” is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026, and fans are eagerly anticipating the film, bolstered by the star power of both Khan and Singh.
