Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Update: Ranveer Singh’s Film Sees Slowdown

Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar and featuring Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, has taken the Bollywood box office by storm since its release. Celebrated for being the first Indian film to surpass ₹1,000 crore in revenue, the spy thriller now faces a downturn in its fifth week.

Recent data from Sacnilk reveals that the film generated ₹2.70 crore on its 30th day, marking the lowest single-day earnings since its premiere. Overall, the film’s total gross in India has reached ₹1,323.62 crore, with a net total of ₹1,105.82 crore so far.

The entry of Akshay Kumar’s new film, Bhooth Bangla, has contributed to the decline in Dhurandhar 2’s earnings, as the horror-comedy has already amassed over ₹13 crore since its release. Initial figures demonstrate that Dhurandhar 2 yielded ₹674.17 crore during its first week, followed by ₹263.65 crore in the second week. Collecting ₹110.60 crore by the end of the third week and ₹54.21 crore in the fourth, the film continues to outperform other popular releases like RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, and Jawan.

Dhurandhar 2 hit theaters on March 19 in Hindi and various South Indian languages, with premium screenings taking place on March 18. This sequel expands upon the story of Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy who goes undercover in Lyari, Pakistan, to eliminate a terror network while navigating the underworld’s power struggles. The narrative intertwines real historical events such as the Kandahar plane hijack and the 2001 Parliament Attack.

The latest installment develops the protagonist’s journey as he evolves into Hamza Ali Mazari and takes control over Lyari’s criminal dynamics. In addition to the tension-filled confrontations between Arjun Rampal and Ranveer Singh, the film features a strong supporting cast, including R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, and Sanjay Dutt.
