Aditya Dhar’s film “Dhurandhar,” featuring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, continues to make waves at the box office, showcasing impressive numbers even in its second week. Released on December 5, the action spy thriller has surpassed the ₹460 crore mark as it enters its 14th day of screening, outperforming several notable films.
On its second Thursday, “Dhurandhar” is estimated to have earned ₹23 crore, bringing its domestic total to ₹460.25 crore. The film had an initial week collection of ₹207.25 crore, and it has outdone that figure in the second week, showcasing strong performance throughout.
The film’s week-to-week decline has been negligible, consistently earning between ₹58 crore to ₹25 crore. Remarkably, it crossed the ₹200 crore milestone within just five days, beating the record previously held by “Pushpa 2,” which had earned ₹196.50 crore in the same timeframe during its second week. Overall, “Dhurandhar” has generated over ₹240 crore in its second week alone.
In comparison with other blockbusters, “Dhurandhar” has outperformed both “Pathaan,” which collected ₹446.2 crore, and “Gadar 2,” which earned ₹419.1 crore by the end of their respective second weeks, according to the trade website Sacnilk.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, “Dhurandhar” features a talented ensemble cast that includes Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and others. The narrative draws inspiration from real-life events and focuses on an Indian spy’s mission to infiltrate a gang in Pakistan.
