Dhurandhar Film Experiences Significant Box Office Drop on Day 32

Dhurandhar,” a spy thriller starring Ranveer Singh, has taken the film industry by storm since its release on December 5, 2025. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie has not only broken box office records but has also become the highest-grossing film of the year. However, as it enters its fifth week, its box office performance is beginning to slow down.

Recent estimates indicate that “Dhurandhar” earned ₹3.44 crore on its 31st day, bringing its total earnings to ₹775.69 crore. This figure marks the film’s lowest single-day collection to date, a trend that is somewhat expected at this stage and particularly on a Monday, indicating a natural decline in audience turnout after the opening weeks.

In its initial week, “Dhurandhar” made a remarkable ₹207.25 crore. The film’s success continued in its second week, where it collected ₹253.25 crore. The momentum persisted into the third week with earnings of ₹172 crore, and even the fourth week saw it gross ₹106.5 crore. Notably, “Dhurandhar” entered the ₹1000 crore club globally within just 21 days of its release.

The film has garnered significant praise on social media from various celebrities and filmmakers. Notably, Ram Gopal Varma described it as a “quantum leap” for Indian cinema, highlighting its extraordinary vision and depth. He remarked on how Aditya Dhar not only directs scenes but also crafts the psychological states of both the characters and the audience.

“Dhurandhar” narrates the story of an Indian spy tasked with infiltrating a Baloch gang in Pakistan’s Lyari. Ranveer Singh stars as the protagonist, Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The cast also includes Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait, the gang leader, alongside Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The film’s sequel, “Dhurandhar 2,” is expected to hit theaters on March 19, 2026.
