Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour Achieves ₹943 Crore Revenue and 1.2 Lakh Jobs

Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour has emerged as a landmark event in the Indian music scene, setting records and highlighting the cultural impact of live performances. The tour, which included 14 shows across 13 cities in India, attracted an impressive audience of over 320,000 fans. Notably, the concert in Delhi alone welcomed 55,000 attendees, marking a new record in India. According to a report from Ernst & Young (EY), the tour generated a remarkable revenue of ₹943 crore, comprising ₹114 crore in taxes.

The EY report, prepared in December 2025, emphasizes the socio-economic effects of the Dil-Luminati Tour. A significant portion of the audience, nearly 49%, hailed from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, showcasing the nationwide appeal of the artist. Furthermore, around 38% of attendees traveled from other locations specifically for the concerts, with over half choosing to extend their visits by up to five days, significantly benefiting the tourism and hospitality sectors.

Revenue from the tour was diverse, with ticket sales contributing ₹221 crore and sponsorships adding ₹33 crore to the total. The tour also generated ₹114 crore in tax revenue for the government, of which ₹111 crore was from GST and other taxes. Local permissions garnered over ₹2.5 crore in fees as well.

In terms of indirect contributions, the tour’s economic impact was even more significant, with ₹553 crore generated as a result of increased spending on tourism, travel, and hospitality by attendees. The EY report attributes this indirect revenue to data gathered from an online survey of over 5,000 attendees. The report indicates that most revenue was generated in North India (42%), followed by West India (23%). Additionally, the tour created approximately 118,000 man-hours of employment across various sectors including logistics, security, and production.

Diljit Dosanjh reacted to the findings, emphasizing that the report reflects a larger narrative beyond the performances. It underscores the livelihoods supported by the tour and the businesses invigorated as a result. He expressed gratitude towards the fans, cities, organizers, and partners who contributed to this historic event, highlighting the unifying and inspiring power of music in India.

The Dil-Luminati Tour expanded beyond India, featuring performances in the US, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East throughout 2024. Global revenues from the tour reached $137 million, with the Indian segment alone comprising 14 packed shows in cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and many others, all of which sold out well in advance.
