Elli AvrRam Discusses the Peaceful Atmosphere on South Film Sets

Elli AvrRam, a multifaceted actress known for her work across Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi cinema, has recently shared her insights into the differing dynamics of Bollywood and South Indian film industries. Her reflections highlight not only her experiences but also the contrasting environments she has encountered throughout her career.

In a candid interview with Bollywood Bubble, Elli expressed that while her time in both industries has been rewarding, she finds the atmosphere on South film sets to be notably more serene and organized. She elaborated, stating, “I have had good experiences in both the South and Bollywood. But I have found it more peaceful on set in the South. In Bollywood, it’s more hurried.” According to her, the use of walkie-talkies in South Indian films contributes to a calmer working environment, contrasting sharply with the often chaotic nature of Bollywood sets.

Elli also noted that her experiences can differ greatly based on the individual teams with whom she collaborates. She recalled a recent Netflix project where the crew prioritized the well-being of the cast, ensuring that everyone was well-fed and comfortable during filming, which she described as a “beautiful experience.”

Furthermore, AvrRam explored the themes of storytelling and opportunities for female actors within the two industries. She expressed a belief that South Indian cinema offers more substantial roles for women in content-driven films compared to Bollywood, where typecasting remains prevalent. Reflecting on her journey, she mentioned her breakthrough role in the film Malang as a significant turning point, emphasizing how it showcased her versatility as an actress.

Elli AvrRam made her Bollywood debut in 2013 with the film Mickey Virus, co-starring alongside Maniesh Paul. Her charm and personality gained her fame when she participated in the popular reality show Bigg Boss 7, hosted by Salman Khan. She has since gained recognition for her performances in several successful films, including Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, which solidified her position in the industry.

Her filmography is impressive, featuring notable works such as Malang, Naane Varuvean alongside Dhanush, and Goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan. Most recently, she appeared in a special role in Be Happy, which stars Abhishek Bachchan and Nora Fatehi, further adding to her diverse repertoire.

Elli AvrRam’s insights into her experiences reflect the broader trends and issues faced by actresses in the film industry today, marking her as a significant voice in the evolving landscape of Indian cinema.
