Farah Khan shared a humorous meme on Instagram, referencing the chaos caused by the IndiGo cancellations. The meme features a clip from the inaugural season of Indian Idol, where Khan was a judge alongside Sonu Nigam and Anu Malik. In this clip, the three are depicted as IndiGo staff while a contestant plays the role of a “passenger.” Farah humorously states, “According to me, you can’t come to Mumbai,” to which the contestant responds, expressing confusion about their real destination.
In her post, Farah captioned the meme with “Best!!” followed by laughing emojis, signaling her clear critique of the travel disruptions linked to IndiGo’s operations.
The situation at IndiGo has become alarming, with Lauren Gottlieb sharing her experience at the airport. She described the scene as chaotic, stating, “This is a public service announcement: do not take IndiGo. Everything you’re seeing online — that’s exactly what’s happening.” The actress reported that her flights to Dubai had been canceled, and she emphasized the dire conditions at the airport, describing it as feeling “like the apocalypse.”
In the past few days, IndiGo has canceled hundreds of flights, including more than 1,000 on one day alone. Major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai have been significantly affected, stranding tens of thousands of travelers just as the holiday rush begins.
In a statement, an IndiGo spokesperson acknowledged the disruptions and apologized to customers for the inconvenience, stressing that operations had been heavily impacted across their network.
