Flipperachi Eager to Catch Dhurandhar on India Tour: ‘Excited for FA9LA’

Bahraini rapper Flipperachi began his musical journey at the age of 12 and has spent over two decades honing his craft. His popularity surged in India after Akshaye Khanna danced to his hit track “FA9LA” in the film “Dhurandhar,” which premiered in theaters in December of last year. Unfortunately, the rapper couldn’t view the film due to its ban in Gulf countries. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, he expressed excitement about finally being able to see “Dhurandhar” and shared his love for Indian cinema, along with details about his upcoming tour.

Reflecting on his rising fame in India, Flipperachi shared, “What can I say, it’s a great feeling.” He noted that having built his career in Bahrain, witnessing his music resonate so powerfully with Indian audiences has been a rewarding experience. The response to “FA9LA” exceeded his expectations, and he is eager to connect with fans in person.

The song’s success has not only captured attention in India but also made waves in the UAE, where Flipperachi achieved a Guinness World Record for topping the Billboard Arabia charts. The rapper emphasized that the popularity of “FA9LA” has introduced his entire catalogue to new listeners across different countries, which he finds fulfilling.

Flipperachi expressed pride in representing Bahrain on a global stage. He commented, “People were proud. In Bahrain, especially being the size that it is, everyone has been part of this journey from early on, and that means a lot to me.” He views the international recognition of a Khaliji track like his as a significant milestone for the broader music scene.

Although he remains excited about his newfound exposure, Flipperachi is eager to see how “FA9LA” was integrated into “Dhurandhar.” Despite not having watched the film yet, he looks forward to experiencing it, especially with an Indian audience. He believes that watching the film alongside fans would offer a distinct and vibrant experience.

The rapper also expressed interest in meeting the “Dhurandhar” team and Bollywood celebrities during his time in India. Growing up with Indian films and culture in Bahrain has given him a deep appreciation for the Bollywood industry. However, he finds it challenging to choose a favorite actor due to the immense talent present in the industry.

Flipperachi is set to perform in Mumbai and Bengaluru on March 13 and 14 as part of his Indian tour, with additional dates and cities forthcoming. This coincides with the release of “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” on March 19. He plans to include “FA9LA” in his setlist while also introducing audiences to some of his other popular tracks. Eager to immerse himself in Indian culture, he expressed excitement about trying authentic Indian cuisine and exploring the cities he visits.

Looking ahead, Flipperachi aims to continue blending Khaliji sounds with global influences in his music. He remains committed to producing new music and exploring collaborations while pushing the boundaries of his sound. With an eye on growth in 2026, he emphasized the importance of evolving creatively while maintaining the authenticity of the music that has brought him this far.
