Zarine Khan, the mother of Bollywood actors Zayed and Sussanne Khan, has passed away at the age of 81 from age-related ailments. Her death has prompted an outpouring of condolences from the film industry, with many stars gathering at her residence in Mumbai to pay their last respects.
On the day of her passing, Jaya Bachchan and her daughter Shweta arrived at Zarine’s home to honor her memory. Bobby Deol was seen shielding his face from cameras as he entered, reflecting the somber mood of the occasion. Fellow actors Rani Mukerji, Saba Azad, and Pashmina Roshan were also present, showing their support to the grieving family.
Jackie Shroff, another notable presence, took the time to advise paparazzi to be respectful while covering the event, underscoring the family’s desire for privacy during this challenging time. Numerous other friends and colleagues, like Shabana Azmi and Rakul Preet Singh, visited the residence to offer their tributes.
Zarine Khan’s death comes after a prolonged struggle with health issues. Reports indicate that she passed away peacefully at home on Friday morning. She had been a significant figure in the Khan family, married to veteran actor Sanjay Khan since 1966, and was also the mother of several children: Sussanne, Zayed, Simone Arora, and Farah Ali Khan.
In addition to her familial connections, Zarine had a brief career in film, having made her debut in the 1963 movie “Tere Ghar Ke Samne” alongside Dev Anand. However, she gained recognition primarily for her work as an interior designer and entrepreneur, leaving a lasting impact beyond her screen appearances.
