Justin Baldoni Claims Blake Lively Exploits Fame to Manipulate Deposition

Justin Baldoni’s legal team has raised concerns about Blake Lively’s attempts to influence the proceedings surrounding her upcoming deposition. On Friday, the actor’s lawyers responded to Lively’s request to move the deposition to her attorney’s office in New York City, citing worries about paparazzi ambushes outside Baldoni’s lawyer’s premises.

Baldoni’s representatives pointed out that there is no substantial evidence to support Lively’s concerns, as both lawyers’ offices are located just a mile apart. Furthermore, they argued that holding the deposition at Lively’s office would disadvantage Baldoni’s team, who may require a private space for discussions during the meeting.

In a pointed statement, Baldoni’s attorneys described Lively’s maneuvering as an attempt to misuse her celebrity status for control over the case, emphasizing that such behavior is inappropriate in court. Previously, Lively’s team accused Baldoni’s attorney of attempting to turn the deposition into a sensational event.

Blake Lively is currently suing Justin Baldoni for alleged sexual harassment during the filming of It Ends With Us. Her representatives affirmed that Lively anticipates participating in her deposition under the same conditions as other witnesses involved in the case. In addition to Baldoni, Lively is pursuing legal action against his publicity team for what she describes as a smear campaign against her.

Baldoni has denied the allegations and has filed a countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and extortion. However, a judge dismissed the countersuit last month, limiting Baldoni’s legal options. The ongoing legal battle has drawn significant media attention, raising questions about the intersection of celebrity, privacy, and legal proceedings.
