Kanye West, known as Ye, is set to make his highly anticipated debut in India; however, fans will need to wait a little longer. Originally scheduled for March 29, the concert in New Delhi has been postponed to May 23 due to the current geopolitical situation and regional tensions.
The news was shared by the event organizers—Whitefox, Plush Entertainment, and Wizcraft—on their official Instagram accounts. In their announcement, they assured fans that all purchased tickets will still be valid for the new date.
The postponement aims to prioritize the safety of attendees, the artist, and the production crew amidst rising concerns. The concert will still take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the originally planned venue.
Earlier, organizers hinted at a grand experience for concert-goers, promising expansive staging, large-format visuals, precision-engineered acoustics, and a setlist that spans from Kanye’s iconic early hits to his recent classics.
Aman Kumar from White Fox expressed the goal of making this event monumental. He described it as a rare opportunity for fans to be part of what is anticipated to be one of the largest concerts in India’s history.
Sabbas Joseph, co-founder and director of Wizcraft International, emphasized India’s growth in hosting significant global productions. He noted that this concert represents a significant evolution in the live entertainment industry in India, highlighting the country’s readiness to host landmark events that resonate on the international stage.
