Lacey Chabert Stars in Upcoming Disney-Hallmark Christmas Film 2026

Lacey Chabert is gearing up to take center stage in an exciting new film, marking the first collaboration between Disney and Hallmark Channel. Titled “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True,” the movie will be filmed at the iconic Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, as reported by Variety. Alongside Chabert, the cast includes Travis Van Winkle, Taegan Burns, Richard Kind, and Asher Alexander.

The announcement was made during The Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday, which aired following Chabert’s recent film, “She’s Making A List.” This highly anticipated collaboration is set to premiere in 2026 as part of the 17th annual Countdown to Christmas, with Ryan Landels taking the reins as writer and director.

The plot for “Holiday Ever After” revolves around Lindsey, played by Chabert, and her extended family, who visit Walt Disney World to celebrate a magical Christmas. However, the holiday spirit takes an unexpected turn when Lindsey discovers that her hotel room is next to Philip, portrayed by Van Winkle, a disastrous date from her past. As they navigate their shared vacation, they begin to realize their similarities, with a touch of Disney magic potentially transforming their initial rivalry into romance.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, Chabert shared her excitement on Instagram, noting that this marks the first time a Hallmark movie has been announced a year prior to its release. She reminisced about her family visits to Walt Disney World Resort, deeming it the ideal backdrop for a Hallmark Christmas film. Her Instagram post enthusiastically proclaimed, “Mistletoe meets pixie dust!” as she announced the film’s details.

In addition to the film, Disney and Hallmark are collaborating on a special collection of merchandise inspired by “Holiday Ever After.” This will feature various products such as ornaments, gifts, greeting cards, and gift wrap. Darren Abbott, Hallmark’s chief brand officer, expressed the company’s excitement about deepening its partnership with Disney, emphasizing that the film is set to be a heartwarming and joyful Christmas experience, embodying the best of both brands.
