Landlord Praises Shah Rukh Khan’s Humility Amid Mannat Renovations

Last year, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan temporarily stepped away from his famed Bandra residence, Mannat. The bungalow, known for its sea-facing views, is currently undergoing extensive renovations. During this period, Khan and his family are residing in a nearby apartment building called Puja Casa, renting four floors from film producer Vashu Bhagnani and his son, Jackky Bhagnani.

In a recent interview, Jackky Bhagnani shared his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan. He expressed a desire to emulate Khan’s remarkable character, stating, “According to me, I just pray that I can become as good a human being as Shah Rukh sir. The level of stardom he has—and his demeanor—you can’t even imagine.” Bhagnani praised Khan’s humility, emphasizing the personal touch he brings to interactions. He revealed that Khan makes everyone feel significant during conversations, noting how he goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome.

Shah Rukh Khan’s move from Mannat was prompted by necessary renovations to the historic property. In March 2025, Khan, along with his wife Gauri and their three children, vacated the iconic mansion to facilitate these updates. Reports indicated that an expansion plan for Mannat had been approved, requiring judicial consent due to its classification as a Grade III heritage structure. This means that any substantial modifications necessitate obtaining the requisite permissions. Renovation work officially began in May, with expectations that it could take up to two years to complete.

As for the temporary living arrangements, Shah Rukh Khan’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, has entered into a lease agreement for two duplex apartments at Puja Casa. The family is reportedly paying ₹24 lakh per month for a three-year term. The new residence accommodates not only the Khan family but also their security personnel and staff, along with designated office space. While not as spacious as Mannat, the new location provides adequate room for their needs during the renovation period.
