Mrunal Thakur Credits Ranveer Singh as Her Lucky Charm in Film Industry

Mrunal Thakur recently expressed her admiration for Ranveer Singh during a podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia. As a devoted fan, she celebrated the success of his latest film, Dhurandhar, which has made history by being the first Bollywood movie to surpass the ₹1000 crore mark at the box office.

In their discussion, Mrunal described Ranveer as her “lucky charm,” attributing much of her career growth to him. She recalled their collaboration on a commercial, stating, “That was when filmmakers started noticing me,” underscoring Ranveer’s impactful role in her journey within the industry. She emphasized his positive nature and wished him continued success.

Reflecting on Ranveer’s performance in Dhurandhar, Mrunal praised its depth, explaining that she viewed him not just as a celebrated actor but as his character, Hamza. She expressed immense pride in his dedication and versatility, hoping for him to achieve blockbuster status in all his future projects.

Dhurandhar 2, released in theaters on March 19, promises to build on the original’s premise. The first film showcased Ranveer as an Indian spy working undercover within a Karachi gang to dismantle a terror network threatening India. It depicted significant historical events such as the Kandahar plane hijack and the 2001 Parliament Attack, adding complexity to the spy narrative.

The sequel delves deeper into his character’s evolution as Hamza Ali Mazari while navigating complex power dynamics in Lyari amidst ongoing threats. Alongside Ranveer, the cast includes notable talents like Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, contributing to the film’s anticipated intensity.

Mrunal is also preparing for her upcoming film, Dacoit, which features Adivi Sesh and Anurag Kashyap. Scheduled for release on April 10, this film is another exciting project for the actress as she continues to expand her repertoire in the industry.
